"Arcplace & myself"

Our eight questions are today directed at Chris Wüthrich. He works as System Engineer at Arcplace since March 2022.

How does a good day at Arcplace start for you?

When I've already been able to solve a problem in the first half hour of my working day. Then the morning coffee tastes twice as good.

What do you like particularly about your work?

I love the flexibility that Arcplace offers me. I also appreciate the trust that is placed in me. Thanks to these two qualities, I can organize my working day in the best possible way and, above all, I can learn from my own mistakes.

How do you unwind after a day at work?

With a «Guguuselii» when I walk through the front door and my little daughter greets me with huge eyes and a smile. That's when the sun rises again for me in the evening :-).

Please finish the sentence: I work at Arcplace because …

... there is always a brunch for new employees. No, all joking aside. I work at Arcplace because I can make a difference here.

Whom would you like to meet in person and why?

There are many. One highlight would certainly be to enjoy the legendary "Cypher Chicken" with Pablito (Pablo Vögtli from SRF Virus). I bet there would be heated discussions about the latest Bounce Cypher hit.

What drives you mad?

Most of all about myself, when I only find the perfect counterargument afterwards. And yet it was obvious!

Which three things would you take with you to a deserted island?

My tool bag, a high-end computer, and a Wi-Fi directional receiver. The counterpart to the antenna was previously installed by me on the mainland and a direct debit was set up on Elon Musk's account for the provider costs. I will build a solar panel as a power source myself. This would be a good way to live in my tree house :-).

What couldn’t you do without?

Chocolate is my big vice. But from today on, I will only have one bar a day. I promise :-).
PS: I'm sure there's one or two cocoa plants on the deserted island.
