Arcplace recertified to ISO 27001 and preparing for ISAE 3402 audit

Arcplace has successfully completed its ISO 27001 recertification – a confirmation to over 10 years of consistent information security for the customers of the independent Swiss IT service provider. At the same time, the company is working for the first time on having the effectiveness of its internal control systems (ICS) audited in accordance with ISAE 3402. With this further step, Arcplace is emphasizing its commitment to high security standards.

Arcplace's renewed certification is the result of a long-term commitment to information security.

ISO 27001 certification is a globally recognized standard that helps organizations to identify, assess and manage information security risks. Arcplace's renewed certification – now in the current version ISO 27001:2022 – is the result of a long-term commitment to information security. Through rigorous internal and external audits, employee training and continuous improvement measures, Arcplace has been able to ensure that its information security practices are up to date and meet the required standards. "This recertification is not only a confirmation of Arcplace's efforts, but also a promise to our customers and stakeholders. They can be confident that their sensitive data is in the hands of a company that is committed to fully complying with high security standards," explains Joachim Aschoff, Chief Operating Officer at Arcplace.

Information security as a commitment

Arcplace remains committed to continuously improving its security and control practices to meet ever-changing threats and requirements and to consolidate its position as an industry leader. The company has set itself the ambitious goal of obtaining the ISAE 3402 Type II report by autumn this year, demonstrating the effectiveness of its internal control system. This report, an internationally recognized auditing standard that serves customers from the regulated financial sector in particular, is crucial for their confidence in the security and integrity of Arcplace's services. The company thus once again demonstrates its commitment to information security.

Joachim Aschoff adds: "As a specialized service provider that performs tasks for other companies in the context of IT-supported services, the ISAE standard is particularly relevant for Arcplace. In addition to the control objectives and their implementation, the ISAE 3402 Type II report also analyses the operational effectiveness of these controls on a sample basis. This means that over a defined period of time, we check whether the controls are actually working. The audit report therefore provides us with certainty as to whether we are achieving our ambitious information security goals. Overall, it makes sense to have ourselves audited against the ISAE standard – with the Type II report, we provide our customers who outsource their services to us with the necessary information for their own internal controls."
